Music Update: Round One of Awesomesauceness!

So now we're back to the shit I listened to before the shit I listen to now and even the shit before that and the shit before that...

Let me clarify that a little bit.

Round One -- Evanescence, Three Days Grace, Theory of a Deadman, Metro Station

That last one was a little odd compared to the others... But on speak of them, who's heard Brenda Song is pregnant, eh? No one? Whatever.

Round Two -- Within Temptation, Epica, Nightwish

Still love 'em all... Like with the top few...

Round Three -- Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Escape the Fate, The Agonist

To add to a former list: Alissa White-Gluz is yet ANOTHER chick I'm gonna put on my lesbian dreams list:

Ahem, back to the music!

Round Four -- Pierce the Veil, Chiodos, D.R.U.G.S., Isles & Glaciers

What's with me and Craig Owens? Ex-Chiodos, current D.R.U.G.S., and side projects Isles & Glaciers and Cinematic Sunrise - not to forget his going solo?

What? I just mentioned him a lot, so...

Round Four: Whitechapel, The Black Dahlia Murder, Dying Fetus, Cannibal Corpse

Phil Bozeman is... Dare I say it?... A beast.

Round Four -- This is where we are right now. Which is basically Round One all over again.

Three Days Grace is the main band I'm listening to right now... "Time of Dying" anyone? Oohhhs... Look at that. "Pain" was totally my first song by them.

Still YDG'N?

Of Mice & Men song, ladies and gents.

New Music for Me #2: This Romantic Tragedy

I was supposed to blog about these guys a few days ago. But, being the horrible procrastinator I am, I have gotten caught up in my life. And no, it's not because I have a booming social life. Quite the opposite actually.

Anyhow, I'm here to talk about This Romantic Tragedy.

I like these guys. The first song I heard was "Such Simple Words", and it still happens to be my favorite by them.

If you like bands that mix singing and screaming, I recommend them. They kind of remind me of Alesana for some reason, but that might just be me. Look them up. Right now. Watch their fucking video for "Such Simple Words".

Don't forget to check them out. And if you don't like them.... Fuck you.

Not really.

New Music for Me #1: Snow White's Poison Bite

Ah... New music.

Now, I listen to enough shit already. My fucking phone can't hold much more, yet I still decide to keep on listening to new bands and new songs. Damn you, BryanStars. And damn your BryanStars2 channel as well.

To those who know about BryanStars, the youtuber dude who interviews fuck-awesome bands, you most likely would know that he posts music videos for bands too. Well, anyways, I'm a subscriber to both his channels.

Yesterday I recieved the email (which makes me scream like a little bitch, I swear) notifying me that he had uploaded a video. I was desperately hoping for an interview, but alas... There was Snow White's Poison Bite.

It was for their music video for their song "The End of Prom Night". Instantly, I was hooked. Catchy as fuck, not to mention I loved the video. I promise I don't really want that to happen. But I have to admit that their singer (Jeremy 13th, was it?) looked quite a bit like Andy Biersack. You know, the one 3 from the left...

I looked up some of their other songs (haven't really had the chance to check any more out since school started) like "Valentine's Doom" and "Kristy Killings".

But the last thing: why exactly would you give a fuck about homecoming queen on prom?

We're Freaks...

Okay, this is from yesterday morning. My darling Mira, whose blog I currently follow, has posted this on her blog as have I.

Please forgive me for the accent. I was practicing for Performing Arts next year.

We're still fucking freaks, though.

In This Moment (with a little Simone Simons thrown in...)

I'll admit it. I've looked up the "hottest chicks in metal" and have to admit some of the chicks are pretty damn sexy. But I have an excuse: I like to write stories, cast people as my characters, and I like said characters to be pretty people. There.

Anyways, in my search for a drool-worthy mistress of metal, I came across a certain blonde named Maria Brink.

Hot damn. Boobs...

First, I noticed her very noticeable assets, the tiny little dress, and went onto find my favorite female vocalist Simone Simons of Epica as the sexiest. Another picture of yet another stunning woman:

More boobs! ... But I'm insanely jealous of her hair...

Back to the subject of In This Moment:

I didn't pay much attention to this band, only listening to their one song "Into the Light" and not anything else. I was seriously in the mood for some good old male vocals...

But two days ago, I was getting a little bored with what I was listening to, so I decided to check them back out.

I'm glad I did.

The first song I came across was "The Promise". I fell in love with it right away, and adored the duet between her and Adrian Patrick of Otherwise.

Then, there was "The Beautiful Tragedy", "Forever", "The Gun Show", "Prayers"...

But my favorite song has to be either "Lost at Sea" or "You Always Believed". They, like the my other favorites I haven't named, come from the album The Dream.

Cool ass cover!!!

I will be listening to more, I'm sure. I haven't had enough time to go through most of their works, but what I'm seeing/hearing I'm liking.

And Maria Brink is sooo going on the list of chicks I'd go lesbian for.

The Black Dahlia Murder Shirt

TSHIRT - CAN YOU SURVIVE TRICK OR TREAT! SMELL MY FEET! GIVE ME BLOOD N GUTS TO EAT! COMIC BOOK COVER ART & LOGO
It was noon in my neck of the woods as I was waking up. My head was pounding, my vision was blurry, and I couldn't give a fuck about anything. I just wanted to sleep.

But, my father decided to burst into my room with a package in his hands, and my heart fluttered slightly.

Surely, it couldn't be...

It was. It was, in fact, the first of my shirts to arrive. And they only shipped it three days ago.

I jumped out of my bed and squealed like a little fangirl. Tearing it from his hands, I attempted (and failed) to open it. So he took it back, ripped the thing open, and handed me the beauty and the lovely little catalogue that came with it.

Cute, eh?

The thing is: I ordered a medium. I should have gotten a small.

Shitballs. Oh well.

Summer Television

It's currently 2:42 in the morning here in Kansas. (To the right is a sight not too far from my house - by my grandmother's, actually).

Late, early - whatever the fuck you want to call it. Either way, I should probably be asleep right now because I got to go to the YMCA tomorrow with a certain young cousin of mine.

Just ignore the first  2 paragraphs.

But doesn't summer TV just suck? I don't know about you, but I can't seem to find anything to watch... There's the occasional Criminal Minds (my favorite show in the universe) marathon - one tomorrow, today?, I think - but that isn't enough.

I mean, I've found myself watching Jersey Shore and just pondering the height of Snooki. What the hell has my summer come to?

And my dear muse has up and left me - tata, my darling Lydia. I hate you.

Back to the topic: At lunch, I'm so hopelessly out of things to watch, I'm watching the news. The goddamned news - which, by the way, is full of shit on Casey Anthony. I just want to hear about some good stuff.

By the way, I'm currently watching Top Shot. This George guy irks me. I think it's the hair.

Damn televison.

My Haircut

Here is my new haircut. First, I want to say that I didn't expect it to come out this way. I thought the picure of bangs that my aunt was pointing to was the length my bangs were supposed to be, not how the actual bangs were going to turn out.

Anyways, my lovely Mira is demanding pictures of the haircut, so here it is. Wonderful, is it not? I am rather fond of it, despite hating it at first.

So tell me, Mira, what do you think? And you do have to admit it does kind of look like Ariana's, if only a tad bit longer.

Looking at the picture, though, my room does suck. Pink wallpaper, pink comforter. It's like hell. The only thing that makes it better is the bookshelf.

P.S. The feet you see are of singing bears.

Juliet Simms and Automatic Loveletter

I first heard Juliet Simms sing with Alex Gaskarth on All Time Low's "Remembering Sunday". At once, I fucking loved her voice, and went onto find her band. Automatic Loveletter was a band I instantly liked, and was obsessed with the songs "Unhearted" and "Hush" for about a month.

Then, I discovered the European metal world, moved onto that, found Scary Kids Scaring Kids and Escape the Fate... You get it. I moved on.

And then I was watching this interview of Austin Carlile from Of Mice & Men, and in the recommended videos was an interview of Juliet Simms. So I clicked on it, and she spoke of her new acoustic album.

Of course, I looked it up. It's name: The Kids Will Take Their Monsters On.

When I become obsessed with certain songs, that's the only thing I'll listen to for days at a time. This album has been playing for a week. It's crazy delicious, like a nice bowl of Dairy Queen ice cream. Unless you hate Dairy Queen. Then it's Braum's. Or maybe you're like my 2 year old cousin who hates ice cream.

Anyways, I recommend the song "Black Ink Revenge".

It's safe to say I'm so fucking jealous of Warped-goers this year, it isn't even funny. Lucky bitches.

Summer Slaughter

In Wichita, Kansas at 3:00 P.M., the doors opened at the Cotillion to welcome Summer Slaughter. The most fan-fucking-tastic lineup is what concert-goers were blessed to see.

Now, three of my favorite bands are a part of the Summer Slaughter Tour: Whitechapel, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Dying Fetus.

I say it's a beautiful tour, that Summer Slaughter. So congrats to the my fellow Wichita people who got to see it.

Merch

When I was in Dallas, my dad stole my copy of Alternative Press and recommended I check out the website, rockabilia.com. Unfortunately, they didn't have the Whitechapel shirt I wanted in my size, but...

Later tonight, I am to spend $120 on shirts and hoodie, all for bands I one day shall forget about. Here's what I'm getting:

HOODIEZIPPEREDBAND - STACKED LOGO WITH DINOSAUR SKULLS & SPLATTER ART (ZIPPER HOODIE)

TSHIRT - BLACK & WHITE FRANKENSTEIN WITH RED LOGO

TSHIRT - CAN YOU SURVIVE TRICK OR TREAT! SMELL MY FEET! GIVE ME BLOOD N GUTS TO EAT! COMIC BOOK COVER ART & LOGO

TSHIRT - HANDS REACHING TOWARDS SKINLESS GUY ABOVE LOGO

I've already bought myself lovely shirts for The Agonist, Epica, Sonata Arctica, and Leaves' Eyes.
